Extending the brief
Now that i know i have a working card series finished and packaged, and after a crit with my fellow peers i have decided to take one of my previous designs that i came up with earlier in the project and create a card series for this also. I will keep the same typefaces for the product but use the "hugs & kisses" concepts.
These are the extended designs for the card range that i have chosen to use.

Final series
Final resolutions
I have just printed the designs, cut them out and folded them. i am really happy with the outcomes. The design stands out really well.
Here are the finished designs:
The series looks good together. I think once i photograph the cards properly in the lighting studio the designs will stand out even more and look professional.
Final card layout
I have now finalized the card layout for the design series. i am happy with the black and white colour scheme and the simple layout.
This is the final design that i am sending to print.
rear of the card layout
I have now designed the rear of the card with the branding and typeface. i am happy with the simple layout as it gets the message across easily and also stylizes the back of the card to which some cards are left blank and look bland.
here is the final layout for the rear of the card:

branding
As i want to possible enquire about selling my cards in independent retailers i have decided to brand the cards with my own name and sire along with brand the card design series.
I have come up with the name 'with love type series'. i think this name works as it is simple, to the point and recognizable, also i can change the 'with love' to something different if i change the occasion that the designs are representing.
here is my personal branding that i will apply to the rear of the card:
